Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a voltage-gated delayed potassiumchannel that is phylogenetically related to the Drosophila Shakerchannel. The encoded protein has six putative transmembranesegments (S1-S6), and the loop between S5 and S6 forms the pore andcontains the conserved selectivity filter motif (GYGD). Thefunctional channel is a homotetramer. The N-terminus of the channelis associated with beta subunits that can modify the inactivationproperties of the channel as well as affect expression levels. TheC-terminus of the channel is complexed to a PDZ domain protein thatis responsible for channel targeting. Mutations in this gene havebeen associated with myokymia with periodic ataxia (AEMK).

Antigen:This KCNA1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 172-201 amino acids from the Central region of human KCNA1.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
