Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels represent the mostcomplex class of voltage-gated ion channels from both functionaland structural standpoints. Their diverse functions includeregulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smoothmuscle contraction, and cell volume. This gene encodes a member ofthe potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily V. This member isidentified as a 'silent subunit', and it does not formhomomultimers, but forms heteromultimers with several othersubfamily members. Through obligatory heteromerization, it exerts afunction-altering effect on other potassium channel subunits. Thisprotein is strongly expressed in pancreas and has a weakerexpression in several other tissues.
Antigen:This KCNV2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 478-507 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human KCNV2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
