Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:Keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsiblefor the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdividedinto epithelial keratins and hair keratins. This gene's expressionprofile shows that it encodes a type II epithelial keratin, although structurally the encoded protein is more like a type IIhair keratin. This protein is involved in cell differentiation, localizing near desmosomal plaques in earlier stages ofdifferentiation but then dispersing throughout the cytoplasm interminally differentiating cells. The type II keratins areclustered in a region of chromosome 12q13. Two transcript variantsencoding two different fully functional isoforms have been foundfor this gene.
Antigen:This KRT80 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 404-432 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human KRT80.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
