Gene Infomation:Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. KLK5 expression is up-regulated by estrogens and progestins. The protein is secreted and may be involved in desquamation in the epidermis.

Antigen:This Kallikrein 5 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 144-174 amino acids from the Central region of human Kallikrein 5.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
