Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the galectin family.Galectins are beta-galactoside-binding animal lectins withconserved carbohydrate recognition domains. The galectins have beenimplicated in many essential functions including development, differentiation, cell-cell adhesion, cell-matrix interaction, growth regulation, apoptosis, and RNA splicing. This gene is widelyexpressed in tumoral tissues and seems to be involved inintegrin-like cell interactions. Alternatively spliced transcriptvariants encoding different isoforms have been identified.

Antigen:This LGALS8 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 271-298 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human LGALS8.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
