Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is an extracellularcopper enzyme that initiates the crosslinking of collagens andelastin. The enzyme catalyzes oxidative deamination of theepsilon-amino group in certain lysine and hydroxylysine residues ofcollagens and lysine residues of elastin. In addition tocrosslinking extracellular matrix proteins, the encoded protein mayhave a role in tumor suppression. Defects in this gene are a causeof autosomal recessive cutis laxa type I (CL type I). Twotranscript variants encoding different isoforms have been found forthis gene.

Antigen:This LOX antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 234-260 amino acids from the Central region of human LOX.

Buffer condition:Purified monoclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column, eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
