Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the MAPkinase family. MAP kinases act as an integration point for multiplebiochemical signals, and are involved in a wide variety of cellularprocesses such as proliferation, differentiation, transcriptionregulation and development. This kinase is activated by variouscell stimuli, and targets specific transcription factors, and thusmediates immediate-early gene expression in response to cellstimuli. The activation of this kinase by tumor-necrosis factoralpha (TNF-alpha) is found to be required for TNF-alpha inducedapoptosis. This kinase is also involved in UV radiation inducedapoptosis, which is thought to be related to cytochrom c-mediatedcell death pathway. Studies of the mouse counterpart of this genesuggested that this kinase play a key role in T cell proliferation, apoptosis and differentiation. Four alternatively splicedtranscript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
Antigen:This MAPK8 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 159-195 amino acids from human MAPK8.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
