Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:DNA methylation is the major modification of eukaryoticgenomes and plays an essential role in mammalian development. Humanproteins MECP2, MBD1, MBD2, MBD3, and MBD4 comprise a family ofnuclear proteins related by the presence in each of a methyl-CpGbinding domain (MBD). However, unlike the other family members,MBD3 is not capable of binding to methylated DNA. The predictedMBD3 protein shares 71% and 94% identity with MBD2 (isoform 1) andmouse Mbd3.MBD3 is a subunit of the NuRD, a multisubunit complexcontaining nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylaseactivities. MBD3 mediates the association of metastasis-associatedprotein 2 (MTA2) with the core histone deacetylase complex.

Antigen:This MBD3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 1-30 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human MBD3.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
