Gene Infomation:This gene encodes menin, a putative tumor suppressorassociated with a syndrome known as multiple endocrine neoplasiatype 1. In vitro studies have shown menin is localized to thenucleus, possesses two functional nuclear localization signals, andinhibits transcriptional activation by JunD, however, the functionof this protein is not known. Two messages have been detected onnorthern blots but the larger message has not been characterized.Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
