Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family areinvolved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normalphysiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in diseaseprocesses, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's aresecreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleavedby extracellular proteinases. The encoded protein degrades type IVcollagen, fibronectin, fibrinogen, casein, vitronectin, alpha1-antitrypsin, alpha 2-macroglobulin, and insulin-like growthfactor-binding protein 1, and activates MMP9 by cleavage. Theprotein differs from most MMP family members in that it lacks aconserved C-terminal protein domain.

Antigen:This MMP26 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 96-125 amino acids from the Central region of human MMP26.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
