Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:Thymus development depends on a complex series ofinteractions between thymocytes and the stromal component of theorgan. Epithelial V-like antigen (EVA) is expressed in thymusepithelium and strongly downregulated by thymocyte developmentalprogression. This gene is expressed in the thymus and in severalepithelial structures early in embryogenesis. It is highlyhomologous to the myelin protein zero and, in thymus-derivedepithelial cell lines, is poorly soluble in nonionic detergents, strongly suggesting an association to the cytoskeleton. Itscapacity to mediate cell adhesion through a homophilic interactionand its selective regulation by T cell maturation might imply theparticipation of EVA in the earliest phases of thymusorganogenesis. The protein bears a characteristic V-type domain andtwo potential N-glycosylation sites in the extracellular domain; aputative serine phosphorylation site for casein kinase 2 is alsopresent in the cytoplasmic tail. Two transcript variants encodingthe same protein have been found for this gene. [provided byRefSeq].
Antigen:This MPZL2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 67-94 amino acids from the Central region of human MPZL2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
