Isotype:Rabbit IgG

Host:Rabbit

Application:WB

Purify method:Affinity purified

Species:Human,Mouse,Rat

Gene Name:MRI1

Synonyms:M1Pi; MRDI; MTNA; Ypr118w

Gene Synonyms:

Gene Full Name:methylthioribose-1-phosphate isomerase 1

Gene Infomation:This enzyme functions in the methionine salvage pathway by catalyzing the interconversion of methylthioribose-1-phosphate and methythioribulose-1-phosphate. Elevated expression of the encoded protein is associated with metastatic melanoma and this protein promotes melanoma cell invasion independent of its enzymatic activity. Mutations in this gene may be associated with vanishing white matter disease (VMWD). [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]

Antigen:Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-369 of human MRI1 (NP_001026897.1).

Antigen Synonyms:Methylthioribose-1-phosphate isomerase

Clonality:Polyclonal antibody

Source:Human

Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.

Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.

Background:

Molar Function:Catalyzes the interconversion of methylthioribose-1-phosphate (MTR-1-P) into methylthioribulose-1-phosphate (MTRu-1-P). Independently from catalytic activity, promotes cell invasion in response to constitutive RhoA activation by promoting FAK tyrosine phosphorylation and stress fiber turnover.

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
