Gene Infomation:Smooth muscle cells (SM) and cardiac muscle cells- specific transcriptional factor which uses the canonical single or multiple CArG boxes DNA sequence. Acts as a cofactor of serum response factor (SRF) with the potential to modulate SRF-target genes. Plays a crucial role in cardiogenesis and differentiation of the smooth muscle cell lineage (myogenesis). Isoform 1 mediates the cardiac transcription factor MEF2C-dependent transcription. Isoform 1 and isoform 3 are more active than isoform 2 and isoform 4 in stimulating cardiac muscle promoters.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
