Tissue specificity:Broadly expressed, with highest levels in heart and skeletal muscle, and lowest levels in liver, small intestine and thymus. Well expressed in retinal ganglion cells, epidermal skin cells, and leukocytes. Up-regulated together with N-myc in some neuroblastoma cell lines.

Background:

Molar Function:Involved in Golgi-to-endoplasmic reticulum (ER) retrograde transport; the function is proposed to depend on its association in the NRZ complex which is believed to play a role in SNARE assembly at the ER (PubMed:19369418).

Western Blot: 

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
