Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the NOX-family of enzymesthat functions as the catalytic subunit the NADPH oxidase complex. The encoded protein is localized to non-phagocytic cells where itacts as an oxygen sensor and catalyzes the reduction of molecularoxygen to various reactive oxygen species (ROS). The ROS generatedby this protein have been implicated in numerous biologicalfunctions including signal transduction, cell differentiation andtumor cell growth. A pseudogene has been identified on the otherarm of chromosome 11. Alternative splicing results in multipletranscript variants.

Antigen:This NOX4 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 124-153 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human NOX4.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
