Gene Full Name:neurotrophin 4

Gene Infomation:This gene is a member of a family of neurotrophic factors, neurotrophins, that control survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. The expression of this gene is ubiquitous and less influenced by environmental signals. While knock-outs of other neurotrophins including nerve growth factor, brain-derived neurotrophic factor, and neurotrophin 3prove lethal during early postnatal development, NTF5-deficient mice only show minor cellular deficits and develop normally to adulthood. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Antigen:Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 25-210 of human NTF4 (NP_006170.1).

Antigen Synonyms:Neurotrophin-4

Clonality:Polyclonal antibody

Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.

Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.

Background:

Molar Function:Target-derived survival factor for peripheral sensory sympathetic neurons.

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
