Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a component of prolyl 4-hydroxylase, akey enzyme in collagen synthesis composed of two identical alphasubunits and two beta subunits. The encoded protein is one ofseveral different types of alpha subunits and provides the majorpart of the catalytic site of the active enzyme. In collagen andrelated proteins, prolyl 4-hydroxylase catalyzes the formation of4-hydroxyproline that is essential to the proper three-dimensionalfolding of newly synthesized procollagen chains. Alternativelyspliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have beendescribed.

Antigen:This P4HA1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 414-442 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human P4HA1.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
