Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the peptidyl argininedeiminase family of enzymes, which catalyze the post-translationaldeimination of proteins by converting arginine residues intocitrullines in the presence of calcium ions. The family membershave distinct substrate specificities and tissue-specificexpression patterns. The type II enzyme is the most widelyexpressed family member. Known substrates for this enzyme includemyelin basic protein in the central nervous system and vimentin inskeletal muscle and macrophages. This enzyme is thought to play arole in the onset and progression of neurodegenerative humandisorders, including Alzheimer disease and multiple sclerosis, andit has also been implicated in glaucoma pathogenesis. This geneexists in a cluster with four other paralogous genes. [provided byRefSeq].

Antigen:This PADI2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 557-586 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human PADI2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
