Gene Infomation:PBP binds ATP, opioids and phosphatidylethanolamine, exhibiting a lower affinity for phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine. This serine protease inhibitor inhibits thrombin, neuropsin and chymotrypsin but not trypsin, tissue type plasminogen activator and elastase. PBP contains hippocampal cholinergic neurostimulating peptide (HCNP), which may be involved in the function of the presynaptic cholinergic neurons of the central nervous system. HCNP increases the production of choline acetyltransferase but not acetylcholinesterase.

Antigen:This PBP antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 137-167 amino acids from the Central region of human PBP.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column, eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
