Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is the alpha subunit ofthe heterodimeric mitochondrial enzyme Propionyl-CoA carboxylase.PCCA encodes the biotin-binding region of this enzyme. Mutations ineither PCCA or PCCB (encoding the beta subunit) lead to an enzymedeficiency resulting in propionic acidemia. Multiple transcriptvariants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Antigen:This PCCA antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 362-390 amino acids from the Central region of human PCCA.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
