Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a protein required for synthesis ofN-acetylglucosaminyl phosphatidylinositol (GlcNAc-PI), the firstintermediate in the biosynthetic pathway of GPI anchor. The GPIanchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells and which servesto anchor proteins to the cell surface. Paroxysmal nocturnalhemoglobinuria, an acquired hematologic disorder, has been shown toresult from mutations in this gene. Alternate splice variants havebeen characterized. A related pseudogene is located on chromosome12.

Antigen:This PIGA antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 455-484 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human PIGA.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
