Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the sialomucin proteinfamily. The encoded protein was originally identified as animportant component of glomerular podocytes. Podocytes are highlydifferentiated epithelial cells with interdigitating foot processescovering the outer aspect of the glomerular basement membrane.Other biological activities of the encoded protein include: bindingin a membrane protein complex with Na+/H+ exchanger regulatoryfactor to intracellular cytoskeletal elements, playing a role inhematopoetic cell differentiation, and being expressed in vascularendothelium cells and binding to L-selectin.

Antigen:This PODXL antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 410-439 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human PODXL.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
