Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is a lysosomalprolylcarboxypeptidase, which cleaves C-terminal amino acids linkedto proline in peptides such as angiotension II, III anddes-Arg9-bradykinin. The cleavage occurs at acidic pH, but theenzyme activity is retained with some substrates at neutral pH.This enzyme has been shown to be an activator of the cellmatrix-associated prekallikrein. The importance of angiotension II,one of the substrates of this enzyme, in regulating blood pressureand electrolyte balance suggests that this gene may be related toessential hypertension. Alternatively spliced transcript variantsencoding distinct isoforms have been observed. [provided byRefSeq].

Antigen:This PRCP antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 114-143 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human PRCP.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
