Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the RASsuperfamily which are small GTP/GDP-binding proteins with anaverage size of 200 amino acids. The RAS-related proteins of theRAB/YPT family may play a role in the transport of proteins fromthe endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi and the plasma membrane. This protein shares 97%, 96%, and 51% similarity with the dog RAB8,mouse MEL, and mouse YPT1 proteins, respectively and contains the 4GTP/GDP-binding sites that are present in all the RAS proteins. Theputative effector-binding site of this protein is similar to thatof the RAB/YPT proteins. However, this protein contains aC-terminal CAAX motif that is characteristic of many RASsuperfamily members but which is not found in YPT1 and the majorityof RAB proteins. Although this gene was isolated as a transforminggene from a melanoma cell line, no linkage between MEL andmalignant melanoma has been demonstrable. This oncogene is located800 kb distal to MY09B on chromosome 19p13.1.
Antigen:This RAB8A monoclonal antibody is generated from mouse immunized with RAB8A recombinant protein.

Buffer condition:Purified monoclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column, eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
