Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:This gene is a member of the RAD51 family of relatedgenes, which encode strand-transfer proteins thought to be involvedin recombinational repair of damaged DNA and in meioticrecombination. This gene product interacts with two other DNArepair proteins, encoded by RAD51B and XRCC3, but not with itself. The protein copurifies with XRCC3 protein in a complex, reflectingtheir endogenous association and suggesting a cooperative roleduring recombinational repair. This gene is one of four localizedto a region of chromosome 17q23 where amplification occursfrequently in breast tumors. Overexpression of the four genesduring amplification has been observed and suggests a possible rolein tumor progression. Alternative splicing has been observed forthis gene and two variants encoding different isoforms have beenidentified.
Antigen:This RAD51C antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 169-198 amino acids from the Central region of human RAD51C.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
