Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a protein similar to the RAS effectorproteins. Loss or altered expression of this gene has beenassociated with the pathogenesis of a variety of cancers, whichsuggests the tumor suppressor function of this gene. Theinactivation of this gene was found to be correlated with thehypermethylation of its CpG-island promoter region. The encodedprotein was found to interact with DNA repair protein XPA. Theprotein was also shown to inhibit the accumulation of cyclin D1,and thus induce cell cycle arrest. Seven alternatively splicedtranscript variants of this gene encoding distinct isoforms havebeen reported.

Antigen:This RASSF1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 103-132 amino acids from the Central region of human RASSF1.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
