Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the kleisin family of SMC(structural maintenance of chromosome) protein partners. Theprotein localizes to the axial elements of chromosomes duringmeiosis in both oocytes and spermatocytes. In the mouse, thehomologous protein is a key component of the meiotic cohesioncomplex, which regulates sister chromatid cohesion andrecombination between homologous chromosomes. Multiplealternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, havebeen found for this gene.

Antigen:This REC8 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 194-222 amino acids from the Central region of human REC8.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
