Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:Smac/Diablo is a 21 kDa mammalian mitochondrial protein that functions as a regulatory component during apoptosis (1,2). Upon mitochondrial stress, Smac/Diablo is released from mitochondria and competes with caspases for binding of IAPs (inhibitor of apoptosis proteins) (1,2). The interaction of Smac/Diablo with IAPs relieves the inhibitory effect of the IAPs on caspases (3,4). This interaction involves mainly the amino-terminal residues of Smac/Diablo with the BIR3 region of XIAP, supplemented with several other hydrophobic interactions between the helical structures of Smac/Diablo and other areas of BIR3 (5,6).

Tissue specificity:RIP Antibody detects endogenous levels of total RIP

Storage:Store at +4°C short term. Store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.

Buffer condition:Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline , pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Background:Essential adapter molecule for the activation of NF-kappa-B. Following different upstream signals (binding of inflammatory cytokines, stimulation of pathogen recognition receptors, or DNA damage), particular RIPK1-containing complexes are formed, initiating a limited number of cellular responses.

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
