Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Togetherthese subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a cytoplasmicribosomal protein that is a component of the 60S subunit. Theprotein belongs to the L22E family of ribosomal proteins. Itsinitiating methionine residue is post-translationally removed. Theprotein can bind specifically to Epstein-Barr virus-encoded RNAs(EBERs) 1 and 2. The mouse protein has been shown to be capable ofbinding to heparin. Transcript variants utilizing alternative polyAsignals exist. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersedthrough the genome. It was previously thought that this gene mappedto 3q26 and that it was fused to the acute myeloid leukemia 1(AML1) gene located at 21q22 in some therapy-relatedmyelodysplastic syndrome patients with 3;21 translocations;however, these fusions actually involve a ribosomal protein L22pseudogene located at 3q26, and this gene actually maps to1p36.3-p36.2.
Antigen:This RPL22 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 92-121 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human RPL22.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
