Gene Infomation:The SCAN domain is a highly conserved, leucine-rich motifof approximately 60 aa originally found within a subfamily of zincfinger proteins. This gene belongs to a family of genes that encodean isolated SCAN domain, but no zinc finger motif. Functionalstudies have established that the SCAN box is a protein interactiondomain that mediates both hetero- and homoprotein associations, andmaybe involved in regulation of transcriptional activity. Twotranscript variants with different 5' UTRs, but encoding the sameprotein, have been described for this gene.

Antigen:This SCAND1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 150-179 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human SCAND1.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
