Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:The 21st amino acid, selenocysteine (sec), is distinctfrom other amino acids because it lacks its own tRNA synthetase andis the only amino acid synthesized on its cognate tRNA. Synthesisof sec begins with acylation of tRNA(sec) (TRSP; MIM 165060) byseryl-tRNA synthetase (SARS; MIM 607529) to give ser-tRNA(sec),which is subsequently phosphorylated by O-phosphoseryl-tRNA kinase(PSTK; MIM 611310) to give O-phosphoseryl-tRNA(sec). SEPSECScatalyzes the final step of sec synthesis by convertingO-phosphoseryl-tRNA(sec) to selenocysteinyl-tRNA(sec) usingselenophosphate as the selenium donor (Palioura et al., 2009[PubMed 19608919]).
Antigen:This SEPSECS antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 444-474 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human SEPSECS.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
