Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:The neurological condition Dystonia is associated with sustained muscle contractions and abnormal posturing. TorsinA, torsinB, torp2A and torp3A belong to the family of ATPases associated with cellular activites (AAA+) and mutations in torsinA cause early onset dystonia. TorsinA has been shown to suppress intracellular protein aggregation in C. elegans and possesses chaperon activity. Interestingly, torsinA is highly expressed in dopaminergic neurons and associates with alpha-synuclein in Lewy bodies, which pathologically characterize Parkinsons Disease.

Tissue specificity:SHIP Antibody detects endogenous levels of total SHIP
Storage:Store at +4°C short term. Store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.
Buffer condition:Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline , pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Background:SHIP an SH2-containing inositol phosphatase. A hemopoietic-specific phosphatase that regulates cell survival, growth, cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. Hydrolyzes Ins(1,3,4,5)P4 and PtdIns(3,4,5)P3. A cytosolic protein with a SH2 domain in its N-terminus and two NPXY Shc binding motifs at its C-terminus.
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
