Gene Full Name:solute carrier family 35 member A2

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the nucleotide-sugar transporter family. The encoded protein is a multi-pass membrane protein. It transports UDP-galactose from the cytosol into Golgi vesicles, where it serves as a glycosyl donor for the generation of glycans. Mutations in this gene cause congenital disorder of glycosylation type IIm (CDG2M). Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2014]

Antigen:Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-242 of human SLC35A2 (NP_001027460.1).

Antigen Synonyms:UDP-galactose translocator

Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.

Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.

Background:

Molar Function:Transports nucleotide sugars from the cytosol into Golgi vesicles where glycosyltransferases function.

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
