Background:

Molar Function:SPCS2 (signal peptidase complex subunit 2), also known as SPC25 or microsomal signal peptidase 25 kDa subunit, is a 226 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that localizes to both the microsome and the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), and belongs to the SPCS (signal peptidase complex subunit) family. Existing as a component of the microsomal signal peptidase complex which consists of five members, SPCS2 removes signal peptides from nascent proteins as they are translocated into the lumen of the ER. The gene encoding SPCS2 is located on human chromosome 11, which houses over 1,400 genes and comprises nearly 4% of the human genome.

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
