Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STATprotein family. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STATfamily members are phosphorylated by the receptor associatedkinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate tothe cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. Thisprotein is activated through phosphorylation in response to variouscytokines and growth factors including IFNs, EGF, IL5, IL6, HGF,LIF and BMP2. This protein mediates the expression of a variety ofgenes in response to cell stimuli, and thus plays a key role inmany cellular processes such as cell growth and apoptosis. Thesmall GTPase Rac1 has been shown to bind and regulate the activityof this protein. PIAS3 protein is a specific inhibitor of thisprotein. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encodingdistinct isoforms have been described.
Antigen:This STAT3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human STAT3, aa 711-743.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
