Cleaves KiSS1 at a Gly-|-Leu bond. Cleaves type IV and type V collagen into large C-terminal three quarter fragments and shorter N-terminal one quarter fragments. Degrades fibronectin but not laminin or Pz-peptide. Belongs to the peptidase M10A family. Activated by 4-aminophenylmercuric acetate and phorbol ester. Exists as monomer or homodimer; disulfide-linked. Exists also as heterodimer with a 25 kDa protein. Macrophages and transformed cell lines produce only the monomeric form. Interacts with ECM1.

Background:STAT6 transcription factor of the STAT family. Plays a central role in IL4-mediated biological responses. Induces the expression of BCL2L1/BCL-X(L), which is responsible for the anti-apoptotic activity of IL4.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
