Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a secreted, homodimeric glycoproteinthat is expressed in a wide variety of tissues and may haveautocrine or paracrine functions. The gene contains a 5' UTR richin CAG trinucleotide repeats. The encoded protein contains 11conserved cysteine residues and is phosphorylated by protein kinaseC exclusively on its serine residues. The protein may play a rolein the regulation of renal and intestinal calcium and phosphatetransport, cell metabolism, or cellular calcium/phosphatehomeostasis. Overexpression of human stanniocalcin 1 in miceproduces high serum phosphate levels, dwarfism, and increasedmetabolic rate. This gene has altered expression in hepatocellular,ovarian, and breast cancers.

Antigen:This STC1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 193-221 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human STC1.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
