Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:This gene is a member of the synapsin gene family.Synapsins encode neuronal phosphoproteins which associate with thecytoplasmic surface of synaptic vesicles. Family members arecharacterized by common protein domains, and they are implicated insynaptogenesis and the modulation of neurotransmitter release, suggesting a potential role in several neuropsychiatric diseases. The protein encoded by this gene shares the synapsin family domainmodel, with domains A, C, and E exhibiting the highest degree ofconservation. The protein contains a unique domain J, locatedbetween domains C and E. Based on this gene's localization to22q12.3, a possible schizophrenia susceptibility locus, and theestablished neurobiological roles of the synapsins, this familymember may represent a candidate gene for schizophrenia. The TIMP3gene is located within an intron of this gene and is transcribed inthe opposite direction.
Antigen:This SYN3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 363-388 amino acids from the Central region of human SYN3.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
