Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This intronless gene encodes a member of the SRY-relatedHMG-box (SOX) family of transcription factors involved in theregulation of embryonic development and in the determination ofcell fate. The product of this gene is required for stem-cellmaintenance in the central nervous system, and also regulates geneexpression in the stomach. Mutations in this gene have beenassociated with optic nerve hypoplasia and with syndromicmicrophthalmia, a severe form of structural eye malformation. Thisgene lies within an intron of another gene called SOX2 overlappingtranscript (SOX2OT).

Antigen:This Sox2 Antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S246 of human Sox2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by two-step phosphospecific peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
