Gene Infomation:This gene is a member of a phylogenetically conservedfamily of genes that share a common DNA-binding domain, the T-box.T-box genes encode transcription factors involved in the regulationof developmental processes. This gene is closely linked to relatedfamily member T-box 3 (ulnar mammary syndrome) on human chromosome12. The encoded protein may play a role in heart development andspecification of limb identity. Mutations in this gene have beenassociated with Holt-Oram syndrome, a developmental disorderaffecting the heart and upper limbs. Several transcript variantsencoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.

Antigen:This TBX5 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 1-30 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human TBX5.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
