Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a mitochondrial transcription factorthat is a key activator of mitochondrial transcription as well as aparticipant in mitochondrial genome replication. Studies in micehave demonstrated that this gene product is required to regulatethe mitochondrial genome copy number and is essential for embryonicdevelopment. A mouse model for Kearns-Sayre syndrome was producedwhen expression of this gene was eliminated by targeted disruptionin heart and muscle cells.
Antigen:This TFAM antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 216-246 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human TFAM.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
