Gene Infomation:This gene encodes an RGD-containing protein that binds totype I, II and IV collagens. The RGD motif is found in manyextracellular matrix proteins modulating cell adhesion and servesas a ligand recognition sequence for several integrins. Thisprotein plays a role in cell-collagen interactions and may beinvolved in endochondrial bone formation in cartilage. The proteinis induced by transforming growth factor-beta and acts to inhibitcell adhesion. Mutations in this gene are associated with multipletypes of corneal dystrophy.

Antigen:This TGFBI antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 106-135 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human TGFBI.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
