Gene Infomation:Transglutaminases are enzymes that catalyze thecrosslinking of proteins by epsilon-gamma glutamyl lysineisopeptide bonds. While the primary structure of transglutaminasesis not conserved, they all have the same amino acid sequence attheir active sites and their activity is calcium-dependent. Theprotein encoded by this gene acts as a monomer, is induced byretinoic acid, and appears to be involved in apoptosis. Finally,the encoded protein is the autoantigen implicated in celiacdisease. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms havebeen found for this gene.

Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
