Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:TNF receptor-associated protein 1 (TRAP1), also known as HSP75, is a mitochondrial chaperone and ATPase that was originally identified as a protein that interacts with the TNF receptor. Although a member of the HSP90 family, TRAP1 is not heat-inducible but is upregulated by glucose deprivation, oxidative injury, and UV irradiation. An amino-terminal mitochondrial localization sequence results in localization of TRAP1 within mitochondria. Overexpression of TRAP1 decreases oxidative stress, suggesting a protective role in ischemia injury.

Background:TRAFs (TNF receptor-associated factors) are a family of multifunctional adaptor proteins that bind to surface receptors and recruit additional proteins to form multiprotein signaling complexes capable of promoting cellular responses. Plays a role in mediating activation of NF-kappa-B by EIF2AK2/PKR. In complex with BIRC2 or BIRC3, promotes ubiquitination of IKBKE.
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
