Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:This gene encodes the nuclear hormone receptor for vitaminD3. This receptor also functions as a receptor for the secondarybile acid lithocholic acid. The receptor belongs to the family oftrans-acting transcriptional regulatory factors and shows sequencesimilarity to the steroid and thyroid hormone receptors. Downstreamtargets of this nuclear hormone receptor are principally involvedin mineral metabolism though the receptor regulates a variety ofother metabolic pathways, such as those involved in the immuneresponse and cancer. Mutations in this gene are associated withtype II vitamin D-resistant rickets. A single nucleotidepolymorphism in the initiation codon results in an alternatetranslation start site three codons downstream. Alternativesplicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the sameprotein.
Antigen:This VDR antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 274-299 amino acids from the Central region of human VDR.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
