Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the intermediate filamentfamily. Intermediate filamentents, along with microtubules andactin microfilaments, make up the cytoskeleton. The protein encodedby this gene is responsible for maintaining cell shape, integrityof the cytoplasm, and stabilizing cytoskeletal interactions. It isalso involved in the immune response, and controls the transport oflow-density lipoprotein (LDL)-derived cholesterol from a lysosometo the site of esterification. It functions as an organizer of anumber of critical proteins involved in attachment, migration, andcell signaling. Mutations in this gene causes a dominant, pulverulent cataract.

Antigen:This Vimentin antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with human Vimentin recombinant protein.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
