Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene is expressed ubiquitously with higher levels infetal than in adult tissues. It encodes a protein sharing 93%sequence identity with the mouse protein. Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome(WHS) is a malformation syndrome associated with a hemizygousdeletion of the distal short arm of chromosome 4. This gene ismapped to the 165 kb WHS critical region, and may play a role inthe phenotype of the WHS or Pitt-Rogers-Danks syndrome. The encodedprotein is found to be capable of reacting with HLA-A2-restrictedand tumor-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes, suggesting a target foruse in specific immunotherapy for a large number of cancerpatients. This protein has also been shown to be a member of theNELF (negative elongation factor) protein complex that participatesin the regulation of RNA polymerase II transcription elongation.

Antigen:This WHSC2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 251-279 amino acids from the Central region of human WHSC2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
