Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is the 80-kilodaltonsubunit of the Ku heterodimer protein which is also known asATP-dependant DNA helicase II or DNA repair protein XRCC5. Ku isthe DNA-binding component of the DNA-dependent protein kinase, andit functions together with the DNA ligase IV-XRCC4 complex in therepair of DNA double-strand break by non-homologous end joining andthe completion of V(D)J recombination events. This genefunctionally complements Chinese hamster xrs-6, a mutant defectivein DNA double-strand break repair and in ability to undergo V(D)Jrecombination. A rare microsatellite polymorphism in this gene isassociated with cancer in patients of varying radiosensitivity.
Antigen:This XRCC5 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 424-450 amino acids from the Central region of human XRCC5.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
