Molecular Weight The recombinant HA1 subunit of influenza A virus H5N1 hemagglutinin (A/Anhui/1/2005 (H5N1)) comprises 321 amino acids with the predicted molecular mass of 36 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, it migrates as an approximately 50 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
