Molecular Weight The secreted recombinant hemagglutinin of Influenza A virus H5N1 (A/Indonesia/5/2005) comprises 526 amino acids with the predicted molecular mass of 60 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, it migrates as an approximately 65-70 kDa band in Non-reduced SDS-PAGE, and three bands (25, 45, 70 kDa) in reduced SDS-PAGE.

Protein Construction A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain of Influenza A virus (A/Indonesia/5/2005 (H5N1)) (ABW06108.1) hemagglutinin (Met 1-Gln 531) (Native, HA1+HA2, cleaved) was expressed with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.
Bio-activity Measured by its ability to agglutinate guinea pig red blood cells.
HA titer is 0.3-1.5 μg/mL for 1% GRBC.
It also agglutinates chick red blood cells.
